Rant on Errata

I just don’t understand how a developer can write a book, with an application inside, say its fully tested and works yet is full of typos and bugs. So far all of the Django books i have read have had errors in them, to the point where the Django community said that the code should not of been written as it was! The thing that annoys me is, i go to books, technical books, to start learning from the ground up, the way the language/framework should be learnt. This is apposed to learning online where techniques and methods are sometimes guesswork and second best solutions. What annoys me is that i buy these books and learn the wrong method, or learn insufficiently what i should be learning. Oh well, i guess i need to read both online documentation and books as an intro. My advice to the developers learning new languages is to look for books that have their online errata already.
